Position Description:

The District Sales Manager is a member of Shred-its leadership team, responsible for the overall sales effort and effectiveness of the sales professionals in order to achieve the sales objectives of the district. The District Sales Manager participates in setting the strategic direction and provides input to long and short-term budget planning for the district. The District Sales Manager is responsible for coaching his/her direct reports to optimize their personal performance and individual development.Key Job ActivitiesSALES RESPONSIBILITIES:o Participate in developing the operating plans and ensure sales activities support these planso Participate in the definition of the longer term potential in the districto Develop and implement strategies for profitable expansion to new markets and support the implementation of acquisitions, and strategic partnershipso Allocate targets and quotas and manage the performance of sales professionalso Manage sales activity and resultso Establish personal relationships with all key customers in the regiono Ensure customer retention across the district meets or exceeds corporate standardso Recruit, train and develop talent

Position Requirements:

Education and Experience Required:o Undergraduate degree (Business Studies preferred)o Five (5) years of business-to-business sales experienceo Three (3) years of sales management experienceo Valid driver's licence and the ability to travel within a defined territoryo Experience with budget managemento Demonstrated successful leadership of a multiple branch environmentKey Competencies:Personal Characteristicso Ability to communicate effectively with customers in a professional mannero Ability to maintain the highest level of customer service in all aspects of the jobo Comfortable in a fast paced dynamic environmento Understands the importance of detail and accuracyo Ability to work well in a team environment and is always willing to assist otherso Ability to make sound business decisionso Demonstrates high integrity, honesty and trustworthinesso Results-oriented with a sense of urgency; motivated by successo Affects change, when necessary, through and in concert with the district leaderso Utilizes partners effectively; allocates decision-making and other responsibilities to the appropriate partners
