Job Description





Job Summary:


We are looking for a highly organized and motivated Junior Buyer to join our Supply Chain department. The Junior Buyer will be assisting with processing of requisitions relating to corporate (non-production) related purchases for the organization.Detailed Description:



+ Process purchase requisitions for goods and services as assigned by ERP system


+ Source goods and services through qualified vendors, or search and evaluate new vendors through established processes, focusing on pricing, delivery, and quality


+ Negotiate pricing and coordinate logistics for shipping and delivery


+ Discuss defects and delivery problems with suppliers and negotiate returns/refunds


+ Provide timely and accurate responses to all internal customers


+ Manage vendor relationships


+ Purchase materials as assigned, ensure on time delivery and expedite as necessary


+ Manage inventory levels for assigned materials


+ Maintain data records as assigned


+ Assist with reconciliation of daily receipts and invoicing discrepancies


+ Process and extract various reports as assigned


+ Participate in process improvement initiatives



Requirements:



+ 1-3 years of experience in similar position


+ MS Office - MS Outlook, Word, Excel


+ Efficient time management skills


+ Strong organizational skills


+ Strong communication skills


+ Detail orientated


+ Customer service oriented (internal and external)





Preferred Skills/Experience:



+ ERP Experience an asset
