National Bank Financial - Wealth Management is the fifth largest investment dealer in Canada. We have more than 700 Investment Advisors in over 100 branches, helping more than 400,000 personal clients manage their assets.





In this position, you will report to the British Colombia Regional Manager and support 7 branches with approximately 50 advisor teams.





Your main challenges:





o Ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly in the region's branches.


o Coach and provide leadership for the region's administrative staff.


o Coordinate the implementation of special projects initiated by Head Office or regional management.


o Assist in the regions overall communication strategy.





Specifically, you will:





o Act as a contact person in resolving operational, administrative and HR issues for all staff including investment advisors.


o Ensure that administrative policies and procedures are communicated, understood and complied with.


o Initiate various projects to improve processes approved by the Regional Manager.


o Promote, incorporate and participate in training, coaching and the performance evaluation process for administrative employees.


o Contribute to meeting compliance standards as required by the Regional Manager.


o Offer general support to the Regional Manager. This could include handling regional issues; managing the Manager's schedule, booking travel, processing expense requests, coordinating marketing activities in order to improve the firm's visibility in the region (advertising, sponsorships, events)


o Help create, develop and maintain a marketing and community involvement strategy.


o Actively participate in and help organize key regional events.



o College diploma in administration or office technology and 3 to 5 years' experience in the brokerage industry; Bachelor's degree in administration, an asset.


o Conduct and Practices Handbook Course


o Canadian Securities Course


o Very good knowledge of Word and Excel


o Knowledge of IT systems


o Strong sense of leadership and high level of initiative and autonomy


o Experience with training, interviewing and other HR functions


o Excellent English (spoken and written), French considered an asset
